Racing in San Diego

I drove down to San Diego last weekend to compete in the SCCA Solo National Tour. After a fairly shaky performance on Saturday, I got my act together on Sunday for 4th place in class. The car is parked at the California Speedway in Fontana until this coming weekend, when I will fly back down for the ProSolo. Fontana is not far from Claremont, so I'll be visiting the Mongolian BBQ, The Hat, and other favorite dining spots...

So how was Claremont? It's been a long time since I've had Mongolian BBQ, too. Sometime I'll have to make a trip west, since I know the stuff in Indy isn't as good.

Claremont is pretty much the same old place. There is a more convenient freeway exit from Interstate 210, but that's about it. On the other hand, the Upland/Montclair shopping area seems to have grown considerably. The Mongolian BBQ is still pretty good, and the Thai restaurant seems to have recovered from its slump and is back to doing great food like they used to.
